I consider myself to be a very organized person. I continuously use a planner and often have to do lists lying around the house. I love setting myself goals, whether they’re big or small as it gives me something to work on.
I’ve decided that once a month I will share some of my ‘to do’ items, tasks or goals I want to achieve. Then when the next month rolls around I will reflect back on what I managed to complete. I know that we are a few weeks into October already but I wanted to get this series started!
October To Do List
Volunteer at least 4 times- As some of you may already know, I volunteer in a kindergarten classroom to gain experience to use when I go back to school in January. Although, I do have a part time job and other running around to do throughout the week so finding time can sometimes be difficult. This month I would like to try to volunteer 5 times.
Finish a Book- I had a goal of reading 15 books this year and although I have already surpassed that goal, my reading time has been put on the back burner due to life’s business. This month I’d like to find time during each night before bed to finish a book. I have also joined an online book club with some of my blogging friends as a fun way to read. Check out my Book Challenge 2017.
Start my Christmas Planning- Some of you probably think I’m crazy that I am already beginning to think about Christmas. But truth is, I have already started my Christmas shopping! Hahaha! Every year I plan out who I have to buy for, budget and gather some ideas for each person. It makes my shopping trips much easier when I have an idea/plan ahead of me.
Setting Aside Time for my Planner- As mentioned above, I use my planner daily. It tells me what I have planned for the day, when I work/volunteer, things to get done and things to buy. Lately I have been slacking when it comes to keeping my planner up to date, so it’s time to get back on track!
Let me know what you have planned for the rest of October!
First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians and Happy early Thanksgiving to everyone else.
I sit here today while sipping at my tea, looking out my window and smile. I have so much to be thankful for.
I realize that the world today is full of pain, hardship, anger and judgment. So being able to look past all of this and be thankful, is something to truly be happy about.
When I was younger I didn’t understand the true meaning of gratitude or being thankful. I believed it was something we were all to think about on Thanksgiving and share around the dinner table. Today, I realize it’s something worth doing everyday as it’s a choice we were given.
So today, I choose to make a list.
Here are some of my reasons to give thanks everyday.
If you’re sitting around bummed that summer has come to and end, chin up! All four seasons offer their own charm, but I truly believe fall is the most perfect of all. Call me basic but I am giddy with excitement about the season of homemade pies, leaf jumping and pumpkin patch walking.
Here are 10 reasons why you should be just as excited as me for fall.
*I hope everyone is doing well. I just want to start off by saying my prayers and love go out to all those affected by what happened in Nevada, Las Vegas, as well as the incident in Edmonton here in Canada.
Autumn is upon us and is by far my favourite season. What’s better than those beautiful nature walks, pumpkin spice goodies and leaf jumping? The Autumn tag is a great way to finding out what people love most about the season. Let’s dive in!
